The course

A week of formation

A Basic Counselling Course for the teachers of the schools under the Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society® was conducted from 22nd September 2019 to 28th September 2019. There were 30 participants. It was a residential course conducted in the Generalate, Somarpann, Deralakatte, with Rev. Sr Carmelita Monteiro ufs as the resource person.

Rev. Sr Lydia Serrao, the Councillor General, lighted the lamp and inaugurated the Counselling Course. Sr Lucy Lilly Pinto, Secretary of the Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society®, explained the importance of the course and requested the participants to use the knowledge and experience they gained for the betterment of the students in their respective schools. As part of their service to society, the participants cleaned the nearby bus stop.

During the concluding session the participants expressed their deep thanks and appreciated the meticulous time table followed, the discipline and Yoga they learnt, and the counselling techniques taught. All the participants were awarded a certificate for successfully completing the Basic Counselling Course.
